Associate in Science in Film, Television, and Electronic Media for Transfer Degree

The Associate in Science in Film, Television, and Electronic Media for Transfer Degree prepares students in all areas relating to the understanding and use of cinematic and broadcast media, with particular emphasis on hands-on experience and transfer preparation for CSU baccalaureate degree programs such as the Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema and Television Arts at CSU Fullerton, the Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Electronic Arts, Narrative Production Option, at CSU Long Beach, and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Television, Film, & Media Studies at CSU Los Angeles .  

 

Through the coursework offered in the Saddleback community college, students will build their artistic talent and hone the practical skills to further their education in media production and media studies including producing, screenwriting, camera work, audio acquisition, lighting, video editing, directing, and sound mixing. The potential careers students may enter  upon completion of the program include video producer, video director, screenwriter, cinematographer, video editor, sound designer, visual effects artist, production designer and radio announcer.  

 

Students who complete the Associate in Science in Film, Television, and Electronic Media for transfer degree receive priority admission to the California State University system, though admission to a specific campus is not guaranteed.
