CTVR 290 is an on-camera process class for the undergraduate actor to develop acting skills specific to the mediums of television and film. The learning process is based on collaboration with directing students, student film projects and assigned projects in class.


CTVR 291 Acting for the Camera II: The Psychology of Creating a Character is an on-camera process class that uses Meisner, Hagen and Focal Length of Performance techniques to create the reality of doing while working on immediacy, conditioning forces, character action and particularization. This course is a conservatory level course focusing on deconstruction of actors’ habits and obstacles. Using the methodologies of Stanislavski, Hagen, Meisner and Focal Length of Performance, the actor will develop an approach to creating and building a character. Groups formed within the class will develop and produce a 6 episode webseries. This course will also address online auditions, creating your own Website or Channel to advertise your work and the development of original work.


CTVR 191 Voice Over and Announcing is a course that works on the development of effective radio and television performance techniques and cartoon and dialect voice performance. Exploration and development of skills in narration, dubbing, ADR, Foley and voice over for radio spots, television commercials, infomercials, audible books, internet and video games, television cartoons, animated films and radio drama.


CTVR 104 Cold Reading  is a scene study class for the actor with a concentration on the audition and interview techniques necessary to audition for casting directors and theatrical and commercial talent agencies. Actors will be engaged in the process of auditioning for projects every week. This course will also review cover letters, resume, portfolio preparation, social media presence and agency submissions.


TA 290 Performance for Television and Film is an on-camera process class for the undergraduate actor and Theatre Arts major to develop acting skills specific to the technical demands of the medium of film and television.
